The property is located at one of the most beautiful locations around and yet it suffers from the lack of hospitality, ruining the entire experience. The priority of the owners is to earn a couple hundred bucks from the boat that carries you to the property, and mind you the boat they have is uncovered and have no life jackets (in a 700+ metre deep lake), and the worst part - they pick you up right from the site of Shamshan. On the contrary, I would highly suggest anyone deciding to stay here to take a boat from the Taleru boating point nearby which would be safer and cheaper. Overall, a good property, run by some inhospitable people. A lot of other reviews clarify why this is so, being from food, to rigid timings of things, to carrying your own luggage in rain to a 100 ft elevation, etc. I bet had it been run by some reasonable managers, the property is worthy of a perfect 5 star rating on google.

Pros: - Amazing view - Rooms are spacious and clean. - Serene and Peaceful Cons: - Very expensive food. There is no other restaurant in the island so you will have no other choice but to eat at the stay itself. Quantity of the food is also very little. - Staff is not at all friendly, specially the cook. - Food timings are very rigid and they don't even give you an option to have the food later. It reminded me of college mess.

I recently stayed at Zostel Chamera resort and had a wonderful experience. The location of the resort is simply breathtaking, situated right in front of the picturesque Chamera Lake, also known as River Ravi. The rooms were incredibly spacious and offered a clear view of the lake from each one. The food at the resort was tasty, although slightly on the pricier side considering the portion sizes. However, the overall quality of the food was good. One downside I encountered was the lack of proper air conditioning. Only two rooms had AC, but unfortunately, they didn't work due to voltage problems. As a result, we had to rely on coolers to beat the heat during our stay. I must note that I visited in June, which is not an ideal month due to high temperatures. I would recommend visiting during the winter season for a more comfortable stay. Furthermore, Zostel's official website mentions the availability of Wi-Fi on the premises, there is no actual Wi-Fi at the resort. Therefore, I recommend making alternate arrangements for internet access before your visit. Considering the resort has only been open for 11 months, it's understandable that they are still working on improving certain aspects. Perhaps in the future, they will address the AC , voltage and Wifi issue. Despite this, they do offer recreational activities such as snooker and carrom board within the premises. Additionally, guests can enjoy the swimming pool with a captivating view of the river.

When I first booked the stay and later read the reviews I was really worried that I would have to face the issues other guests had mentioned. And it was my birthday trip and I didn't want any trouble. But luckily, I faced no issues at all. I initially booked for a night and stayed there for 3 days. My experience was awesome. The food and the location were just amazing. The staff was very humble. Kudos to Om Prakash! 🤗

As per me the property is way too beautiful. It offers and experiencial stay and as a guest we should always respect that. This property has a theme and is conveying a message of sustainability. I guess people don't understand that and create issues there. They come with a different mindset. Talking about the property it offers an amazing view from every corner and Amazong sunset and sunrises even. One can spent hours with the beauty of the nature and the calmness of the property. Food is organic and tasty. Overall experience was amazing. Loved the hosts. Would be visiting it again for sure. Thanks for making our stay memorable and insightful. Just to add since many people are asking this : to reach the property you will have to take a boat. One side charges are INR 500-800 PP one way. Also, there is a facility to park the car and then take the boat. Also, there are certain house rules. Adhere to those and enjoy your stay. Like ordering food during the time frame only.

Beautiful place, healthy tasty organic food, surrounded by nature, you can hear the birds chirping, all so neat and clean, beautiful interior, all so good. A little ventilation problem in the washrooms, maybe fans can be added. The view is beyond serene. The hosts are so warm and helpful at all times. Any time you call them, they're gonna be in your service. Highly recommended!
